Why choose a Full Cheek Copper French Link Snaffle for your horse?
Full Cheek French Link Snaffles are useful for green horses or young horses as they can help with steering. Shanks on the bit create a positive action against the horse's cheeks when asked to turn. The full cheek design also prevents the bit being dragged through the horse’s mouth. This bit can be used with keepers on the bridle to help keep the cheeks vertical. The double jointed, French link mouthpiece distributes pressure evenly over the tongue and bars of the mouth whilst reducing the nutcracker action of a single jointed bit. When a bit has more joints the horse is less likely to lean on it because the mouthpiece becomes more moveable.
Made from stainless steel, which is the most common material used for horse bits, it is durable, easy to clean, tasteless and does not rust. The copper link is warm and encourages the horse to salivate and accept the bit. Ideal for young or green horses and for most equestrian disciplines.
