Why choose a hanging cheek snaffle for your horse?

The Hanging cheek is a fixed cheek bit which helps encourage flexion, making this bit especially useful for horses with a high head carriage. Can also be useful for horses that are unsure of the bit as it has limited movement in the mouth.

The double jointed mouthpiece with copper lozenge distributes pressure evenly over the tongue and bars of the mouth whilst aiding salivation and reducing the nutcracker action of a single jointed bit. Made from stainless steel, which is the most common material used for horse bits, it is durable, easy to clean, tasteless and does not rust.

Stainless Steel Horse Bits...
Stainless steel is the most commonly used material for horse bits as it is durable, easy to clean and does not rust. Some of our stainless steel bits feature copper mouthpieces which help to create a warming sensation and encourage the horse to salivate and accept the bit. Stainless steel bits are suitable for a wide range of horses and are available in many designs so that you can choose the right bit for your horse and discipline.

Pair your horse bit with one of our Anatomical Bridles.

Please note, for reasons of health and hygiene this bit is non returnable if removed from the template.

2. Use a soft sponge or cloth to wipe any excess debris off of the bit, paying particular attention to joins and hinges.

3. Leave to dry naturally.
